Hull KR have sold all 24,600 tickets for their match against Brisbane Broncos at Hull’s MKM Stadium, securing a new record for rugby league at the venue before tickets have reached general sale.
The sell-out has also been recorded as the fastest-selling World Club Challenge, underlining sustained domestic interest in major international rugby league fixtures at a time when the sport has been working to expand its global profile, including recent UK-US initiatives to grow audiences in Las Vegas.
The fixture has followed a strong period for Hull KR, who have entered 2026 as reigning treble winners and have continued to attract rising support. RL Commercial has said the demand has reflected both the club’s recent success and the wider pull of international rugby league events in the UK.

Chief executive Paul Lakin has said the sell-out has been “a truly phenomenal achievement and testament to so much work behind the scenes, and our loyal fanbase”, adding that the club “can’t wait to show the world what we, and the city of Hull, are all about”.
Nigel Wood, chairman of RL Commercial, has said the response has reflected “the feel-good factor” surrounding Hull KR after their treble-winning 2025 season, calling it “further evidence of the appeal of major international Rugby League events”.
