WSL Football has partnered with Airbnb in a multi-year agreement, establishing the platform as the league’s official accommodation and unique experiences partner.
To mark the collaboration, the partners have launched a £1m Player Accommodation Fund to support players relocating during the summer and winter transfer windows over the next three seasons.
The fund will provide short-term housing for players joining clubs in both the Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) and Barclays Women’s Super League 2 (WSL2). The initiative aims to reduce the financial and logistical pressures of relocation, offering eligible players up to $2,000 USD in Airbnb credits to help them settle into their new communities.
Eligible players transferring permanently, on loan, or as free agents will be granted direct access to the fund through WSL Football to secure housing when moving to new clubs.
The announcement comes at a milestone moment for the league, as WSL Football has also been nominated for ‘Sports Organisation of the Year’ at the 2025 Sport Industry Awards.
Zarah Al-Kudcy, Chief Revenue Officer, WSL Football, said, “We aim to put the players and fans at the heart of everything we do and the partnership with Airbnb showcases this. Building an away fan culture is integral to the growth of the game and Airbnb want to support our clubs and fans with this, from accommodation through to experiences. And as the transfer market continues to evolve, we also want to support players and clubs by removing a potential area of friction when players find themselves in new locations for the first time. With two more clubs in the BWSL for the 2026/27 season, we expect to see even more movement this summer.”
