TNT Sports has partnered with public service broadcaster Channel 5 to deliver free to air coverage of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Under the agreement, Channel 5 has become the exclusive English language free-to air partner for the event in the UK, broadcasting daily highlights of the Games, which are scheduled to take place from 23rd July to 2nd August 2026.

This free to air coverage will complement live broadcasts from TNT Sports, which has committed to showing every medal live on its linear channels and streaming platform, HBO Max, with subscriptions starting from £4.99 a month. The partnership follows Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) securing the live linear and digital media rights for the event last year. TNT Sports has set plans to broadcast around 600 hours of live coverage throughout the 23rd edition of the Games.

The event will feature 3,000 athletes from 74 nations and territories competing in Glasgow.

Scott Young, EVP of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Sports Europe, said: “By making Glasgow 2026 available to all HBO Max subscribers and highlights to 5’s audience, we will help the Games reach a broad and passionate audience across every platform, ensuring fans can connect with the event and all the moments that matter. By presenting every medal broadcast through HBO Max, extensive coverage on TNT Sports’ own dedicated channels and highlights in partnership with 5, audiences will be offered the choice and flexibility to enjoy the very best of the Games, whenever and however they choose to watch.”

TNT Sports was nominated for ‘Sports Documentary of the Year’ at the 2025 Sport Industry Awards.

Bristol City have signed a long-term kit partnership extension with Irish sportswear manufacturer O’Neills.

The brand has supplied playing, training, and travel wear for the men’s first team since first partnering with the club in 2023. Under the renewed agreement, O’Neills will continue to produce the club’s kits. The partnership also focuses on reducing environmental impact by utilising recycled materials for replica shirts and training wear, while offering a range of sizes to supporters.

Charlie Boss, CEO of Bristol City, said, “We are very pleased to continue this partnership. The shirt is a big part of our identity as a club, and O’Neills have proved themselves as trusted custodians of our performance and replica kit. We have been able to create innovative kit designs together, including the extremely popular heritage away kit last season, and O’Neills have consistently demonstrated their commitment to City fans and the community in Bristol.”

George Harborne, Head of Pro Sport at O’Neills, said, “We are delighted to extend our successful partnership with Bristol City. It is a partnership of true collaboration, with both O’Neills and the club striving to make each season better than the last in our designs and product offering. This success has been reflected in the record-setting retail growth achieved since the launch of the partnership, and we look forward to the continued success of the partnership over the coming years.”

Skateboard GB has partnered with Subway to launch a nationwide commercial fund for skateboarding.

The Subway Skate Fund offers £15,000 in funding for skateboard-related projects, including community initiatives, new obstacles, events, and coaching programmes. Unlike traditional funding routes, the scheme is not restricted by location, organisation type, or project category, meaning individual skateboarders, unincorporated groups, and community organisers can apply.

The launch has built on the existing partnership between Skateboard GB and Subway, which has already supported six community skatepark projects.

James Hope-Gill, CEO of Skateboard GB, said, “This fund is a landmark moment for skateboarding in the UK. For the first time, anyone with a great idea to support their local scene can access funding without restrictive criteria. Skateboarding thrives when creativity and community lead the way, and this fund is designed to empower exactly that.”

Kirstey Elston, Senior Director of Marketing at Subway, said, “Through our Fresh Moves programme, we’re committed to helping create more opportunities for people to get active in ways that feel relevant and accessible to them. Our partnership with Skateboard GB allows us to support communities at the heart of Subway, whether that’s improving local spaces, widening access, or helping new participants get involved.
