British Cycling has secured a four-year extension to its partnerships with helmet brand Lazer and component brand Shimano, extending the relationship through to 2030.

The extension will stretch the national governing body’s relationship with the two brands to 16 years, with both continuing to support riders across the Great Britain Cycling Team through the provision of on-bike products.

Lazer has served as the official helmet supplier to the Great Britain Cycling Team since 2014, providing helmets to elite, Paralympic, and grassroots riders. Shimano has supported the team’s riders for over a decade and will continue as the official groupset supplier.

This role includes supporting both elite and Paralympic road riders, as well as helping to optimize equipment packages for Paralympic road riders. Under the extension, both brands will also support grassroots cycling initiatives across the country.

Stephen Park CBE, Performance Director for the Great Britain Cycling Team, said, “Long standing partnerships like ours with Lazer and Shimano don’t just happen by chance. They are based on an alignment in values, respect and commitment to a joint vision – to be the best in the world. Our partnership with the core slate of Madison brands has been a huge part of the team’s success over recent years. They have been there with us at all major competitions and milestones since 2014 and we look forward to continuing this trajectory through to LA and beyond.”
